We see you, We hear you.

Our teachers and educators face a unique blend of emotional, cognitive, and systemic stressors that can deeply affect their mental health.
1. Emotional Labour:
- Constantly managing students’ emotional needs, while regulating their own.
- Supporting students dealing with trauma, learning difficulties, or behavioral issues.
2. Burnout & Overload:
- Long hours beyond classroom time (grading, planning, admin tasks).
- Pressure to meet curriculum standards, standardised testing goals, and performance evaluations.
3. Lack of Resources & Support:
- Underfunded schools, insufficient classroom materials, large class sizes.
4. Role Conflict:
- Expected to be educators, counselors, disciplinarians, and sometimes surrogate parents.
- Balancing educational goals with the social-emotional needs of students.
5. Public Scrutiny & Policy Pressure:
- Often blamed for systemic issues beyond their control.
- Political pressures affecting curriculum, classroom discussions, and job security.
6. Low Compensation vs. Workload:
- Disproportionate pay compared to workload and responsibility.
- Financial stress can compound mental health strain.
7. Pandemic Aftermath (still lingering effects):
- Adaptation to online teaching, learning loss recovery, increased behavioral issues post-COVID.
Common Mental Health Impacts:
• Burnout
• Depression & Anxiety
• Compassion Fatigue
• Helplessness or low morale
